Create a space that works for you

Space functionality is a priority for me in any space that I design. I wanted my entryway to feel inviting, look beautiful, and have storage space for things I need as I come and go.

This console table doubles as storage for everything I need as I leave. I store kids and baby items in one drawer (diapers, pacifiers, snacks on the go, etc) and miscellaneous items I will need (lint roller, reusable bags, hand sanitizer) in another.

Entryway checklist for small and medium spaces

You may be wondering: how do I decorate my entryway? I’ve created a checklist for you.

Think of the size of the space and your needs. You don’t want to create a crowded space, where you are constantly bumping into things.

If you are decorating a small entryway I would start with a full-length mirror and a small shelf to serve as a “catch-all.”

Best anthropology mirror dupes – get the look for a fraction of the price

If your entryway is the medium size you can add a console table to catch your items on your way in and out or a bench to set a purse and sit down to put on your shoes. A small rug by the door would add character and stop dust from spreading into the room.
