Last checked against the site on 3 September 2026.
This site is built to be usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, a magnifier, or none of those. That is a design requirement here rather than an afterthought, and it is checked as pages are built.
What has been done
- Every page works without JavaScript. Navigation, the enquiry form, the galleries and the modals all have a plain-HTML path, and nothing is hidden by styling alone.
- Every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard, and the focus indicator is visible.
- A “Skip to content” link is the first thing in the tab order on every page, and it moves focus rather than only scrolling.
- Photographs carry alternative text describing what is in them; images that are purely decorative are marked so screen readers pass over them.
- Text contrast is measured rather than assumed. Where a color did not reach the WCAG 2.1 AA ratio for its size, the color was changed.
- Motion — parallax, reveals, hovers — is switched off for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion.
- Headings run in order, landmarks are labelled, and the page language is declared.
Known gaps
Articles migrated from the previous site carry their original markup. Their alternative text is whatever was written at the time, and some of it is thin. It is being improved as those pages are revisited.
If something does not work
Tell me and it gets fixed. Call or text 253-250-6658, or use the contact form, and describe what you were trying to do and what happened instead. That report is more useful than any audit.
