Agreeable Gray (SW 7029) is one of the most Sherwin-Williams’ popular paint colors. It has been a part of Sherwin-Williams’ Top 50 Colors collection as well as Reasoned, Pottery Barn, and Living Well – Renew collections.  Sherwin-Williams Agreeable Gray is a versatile color and will be right up your alley with its sophisticated and classic feel.

Why is agreeable gray so popular?

It’s simple — it’s one of those neutral paint colors that can work with just about anything. Whether you’re redoing an entire house or painting a single room, this neutral shade pairs well with almost everything.

SW Agreeable Gray is also a selling wall color: if you are a builder or preparing a house for sale this would be a good color choice for you. It has a nice balance of beige undertones and gray undertones.

Sherwin-Williams introduced Agreeable Gray in 2002. In 2017, it ranked as the 50th most popular color on the Sherwin- Williams website. It’s a warm grayish green that looks great on walls and ceilings. It’s also easy to work with because it doesn’t look too dark or light.

The color is still very popular today, but there has been a trend for lighter wall colors.

Is SW Agreeable Gray warm or cool color?

Sherwin-Williams Agreeable Gray is on the warm side of gray, though with a light greige tone to it.

What undertones does Sherwin-Williams Agreeable Gray have?

One of the biggest concerns my clients have, when choosing a neutral gray, is so that it won’t have any blue undertones.

Agreeable Gray doesn’t have any blue undertones, it does, however, have brown undertones, but, they are minimal. It doesn’t have green undertones either.

Yes, Sherwin-Williams Agreeable Gray is a good exterior color.  It may be used as the main wall color or as a trim color.

Agreeable Gray is a great color for cabinets, however, if you use it on the cabinets, I would recommend that the wall color would be lighter, than Agreeable Gray
